Surrey Civic Theatres launches Spektrix this fall, offering faster, flexible online ticketing for plays, concerts, and community events.

A Fresh Way to Book Tickets

Starting November 12, Surrey Civic Theatres is rolling out a brand-new ticketing system called Spektrix. Described as “modern, user-friendly, and flexible,” the platform promises to make buying tickets faster and easier than ever.

Temporary Pause in Online Sales

During the transition from Theatre Manager to Spektrix, online ticketing will be paused from November 7 to 12. Don’t worry—tickets can still be purchased by phone at 604-501-5580 or in person at the box office until 5 p.m. on November 9.

Why Spektrix is a Game-Changer

Spektrix isn’t just an upgrade—it’s a ticketing revolution. The system includes:

  • Mobile ticketing for convenient access on the go
  • Self-service options for faster checkouts
  • Ticket scanning features for seamless entry

Tickets purchased before the transition will transfer automatically, but printed tickets issued prior to Nov. 12 must be replaced at the box office to be scannable for events.

A Season Packed with Events

From October through May, Surrey Civic Theatres’ Presentation Series is set to dazzle audiences with 26 diverse shows, from plays and comedy to dance and concerts. Performances take place at:

  • Surrey Arts Centre (Main and Studio stages)
  • Centre Stage at Surrey City Hall
  • Clayton Community Centre

The 2025 season kicked off on October 5 with the family-friendly circus, Afrique en Cirque, at the Surrey Arts Centre’s Main Stage.

Serving the Community Beyond the Stage

The new system also handles rental events like Canadian Adobo on October 26 and community-organized concerts such as Raga Echoes: The Sufi Edit on November 7.

Spektrix: Born from Passion for Theatre

Spektrix was launched in 2007 in the U.K. by Michael Nabarro and Matt Scarisbrick, two developers frustrated with outdated ticketing tools. Today, it supports 800+ organizations and 20,000 users worldwide, leading the way in ticketing, marketing, fundraising, and CRM for cultural institutions.
