A Wisconsin woman connected to the notorious 2014 Slender Man stabbing incident has been found safe after briefly going missing from a group home, authorities announced. Officials say she walked away from the facility on Tuesday, prompting a search due to legal restrictions tied to her conditional release.

The woman, who was a juvenile at the time of the crime, has lived under supervised care following a court decision that placed her in a psychiatric treatment program instead of prison. Her disappearance raised concerns given the conditions of her release, which require constant monitoring and prohibit unsanctioned travel.

Law enforcement confirmed she was located less than 24 hours later and returned to care without incident. Authorities did not disclose where she was found, citing privacy and ongoing mental-health considerations.

The 2014 case gained international attention when two 12-year-old girls attacked a classmate in an attempt to please the fictional online horror character “Slender Man.” All individuals involved remain under long-term supervision ordered by the court.
