Thrash metal giants Megadeth are preparing to say goodbye to the stage and they’ve included Abbotsford on their final run. The band has announced a series of Canadian dates in early 2026, marking the last chance for fans to see one of metal’s most influential groups perform live.
Farewell album arrives before the tour
Before Megadeth retires from touring, the group is releasing one more project. Their self-titled 17th studio album arrives on January 23, 2026, featuring guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari, who stepped in for Kiko Loureiro in 2023.
Although the lineup has evolved over the years, frontman Dave Mustaine remains the driving force behind Megadeth’s sound. He’ll be joined on this final tour by bassist James LoMenzo, drummer Dirk Verbeuren, and Mäntysaari.
