The second annual Noel Surrey festival opens Friday, Nov. 28, bringing a full month of holiday lights, themed displays, music, food, and family activities to the Cloverdale Fairgrounds.

The festival, previously staged in Calgary and Milwaukee, made its Surrey debut in 2024. This year’s edition expands with the arrival of Bright Nights, the long-running holiday attraction that spent 27 years at Stanley Park before relocating to Surrey.

Bright Nights moves to Cloverdale

Bright Nights has traditionally raised funds for burn survivors with the help of hundreds of B.C. firefighters who volunteer their time to build the displays. With Stanley Park hosting a Harry Potter “Forbidden Forest Experience” this year, the exhibit found a new home at the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre.

The Bright Nights displays now line the pond and walking path outdoors, while Noel Surrey’s interior attractions continue inside the Agriplex.

What to expect this year

Visitors can explore:

  • Indoor Noel Surrey light displays
  • Bright Nights outdoor trails
  • A lit Ferris wheel
  • Holiday market and food trucks
  • Jack Frost–themed bar
  • Santa visits and photo spots

The festival runs until Dec. 28, with hours between 2 or 3 p.m. (depending on the day) and 9 p.m. It will be closed on Dec. 1, 8, 24, and 25.
