Surrey’s annual “Socks for a Cause” drive is back, collecting cozy socks for Sources Food Bank to help locals stay warm this winter.
A Warm Mission Begins
When cold weather arrives, warm socks can feel like a lifeline. Yet, not everyone has them. That’s why Surrey resident Jeevan started Socks for a Cause, a yearly community effort that gathers cozy socks for Sources Food Bank in South Surrey and White Rock. The food bank then passes them to people who need warmth the most.
Community Spirit in Action
Every year, Jeevan teams up with local partners. And, amazingly, this simple act continues to grow. Although the idea is small, the impact is huge. Moreover, people across Surrey, White Rock, and Delta are joining in. In addition, many groups are spreading the word. Furthermore, drop-off spots are easy to find. Also, kindness is turning into action. Equally important, the collection runs until Wednesday, Dec. 10.
