Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating a serious single-vehicle collision in South Surrey. The crash happened around 10:35 a.m. on December 5, 2025, near 30 Avenue and 144 Street.

Officers responded to reports of a vehicle that had crashed in the area, along with Surrey Fire and BC Emergency Health Services. The driver was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, where medical staff are continuing treatment.

Medical emergency suspected, road closed

SPS says the Collision Investigation Unit has taken over the file. Early indications suggest a medical emergency may have caused the crash, and impairment is not believed to be a factor at this time.

Police closed 144 Street between 30 Avenue and 32 Avenue for roughly two hours while investigators examined the scene and gathered evidence. Drivers in the area were asked to use alternate routes during the closure.
