A late-night fight on a Surrey party bus left four hurt and police searching for a fleeing suspect. Officers now ask witnesses to come forward.
Early Morning Trouble on Highway 1
It all started a little after 1 a.m. A party bus rolled east on Highway 1. Then it stopped near the 192 Street exit. The driver called 9-1-1 fast. A fight had broken out on the bus, and things were getting worse by the second. At the same time, a rider made another urgent call. Several people had been stabbed. The suspect had run off.
Officers Rush to the Scene
When police reached the bus, they found four hurt people. Two riders had serious injuries. They went to the hospital right away. The other two were treated on the spot. Even with the tension high, officers moved fast and worked with care. Then the search began.
Search Teams Sweep the Area
With help from Langley RCMP and the Integrated Police Dog Service, officers spread out. They checked nearby streets. They checked open fields. They checked darker areas too. Hope rose, yet the suspect stayed out of sight. The man was said to be White, in his 20s, around six feet tall, about 150 pounds, with short messy blond hair. He wore a white shirt with lemons on it and maybe grey pants.
Investigators Call for Witnesses
The Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit and its General Investigation Unit now guide the case. Because many people may have seen something, officers ask the public for help. Anyone with details is urged to call the Surrey Police Service non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file 25-66269 (SU). Every tip matters, and each call helps move the case forward.
