A devastating incident unfolded in Delta’s Tsawwassen neighbourhood on Friday afternoon, leaving a 69-year-old woman dead after being struck by a vehicle in a parking lot. The crash happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. near 10th Avenue and 54A Street.
Emergency Response and First Aid Efforts
Delta Police Department (DPD) confirmed that first responders rushed to the scene to provide lifesaving care. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the woman later died from her injuries. Superintendent Jody Waldron expressed condolences and emphasized the dedication of emergency personnel.
Driver Remains on Scene, No Impairment Suspected
The driver involved stayed at the scene and is fully cooperating with investigators. Authorities have stated that impairment is not considered a factor in the crash. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
