Police Seek Public Help to Identify Assault Suspect
Surrey Police Service (SPS) is turning to the community for assistance after a female youth was targeted in a startling street assault.
The incident occurred around 4:35 p.m. on February 6, 2026, as the youth was walking east on 100 Avenue near 123a Street. According to authorities, an adult male approached her from behind and grabbed her upper body. Fortunately, the victim managed to break free unharmed, and the suspect fled south along 123a Street.
Suspect Description
Police describe the suspect as an adult male, possibly White or Middle Eastern, standing roughly 5’10” tall. He was last seen wearing:
- Black sweatpants
- Black and white shoes
- Black hooded sweatshirt
- Black and grey plaid or checkered jacket
Authorities have released a photo of the suspect to aid in identification.
