Abbotsford Canucks and Castle Fun Park host a family-friendly NYE bash, celebrating the park’s reopening and supporting Archway Community Services.
Calder Cup Celebrates New Year at Castle Fun Park
Abbotsford is gearing up for a New Year’s Eve like no other as the Calder Cup joins the festivities at Castle Fun Park. The family-friendly amusement park, recently reopened after flooding, is partnering with the Abbotsford Canucks to welcome 2026 in style while supporting Archway Community Services.
The celebration runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on December 31 at 36165 North Parallel Rd, offering fun for families, hockey fans, and the community alike.
A Party with Purpose
“Castle Fun Park is proudly teaming up with the Abbotsford Canucks for a special New Year’s Eve event,” said Sue Bossley of CFP. “This celebration isn’t just about ringing in the new year—it’s about resilience, community, and enjoying time with family and friends after the recent flooding.”
Alongside festive fun, attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for Archway Community Services, turning the NYE party into a charitable event.

Guests can look forward to a lineup of exciting activities and giveaways:

Castle Fun Park Reopens Strong
After several weeks of closure due to flooding, Castle Fun Park will officially reopen on Boxing Day. The park’s resilience owes much to improvements made after the 2021 floods, including a new concrete perimeter wall that successfully protected the property this past weekend.
Owner Brian Wiebe shared, “The wall held back water levels close to what we experienced in 2021. We’re grateful for our community’s support and proud of our team’s effort to get the park ready for the holidays.”
Visitors can enjoy arcade games, go-karts, and bumper cars starting Boxing Day.
Abbotsford Canucks Schedule
The Abbotsford Canucks will resume play after the holiday break with matches in Coachella Valley and San Diego on December 27–28. Fans in Winnipeg will welcome 2026 with the Canucks taking on the Manitoba Moose on December 31 and January 2.
