Holiday Fundraiser at Willowbrook Mall Supports Local Charities
This holiday season, Willowbrook Shopping Centre in Langley is hosting two fundraisers that will directly benefit local charities, including a Cloverdale-based group that works to support vulnerable residents in Surrey and beyond.
The centre’s festive initiatives are raising funds through holiday chocolate bar sales and a charity gift-wrapping service, with all proceeds going straight to community partners.
Buy Chocolate Bars to Support Storehouse Society
Shoppers at Willowbrook can pick up Golden Gift Chocolate Bars for $10 at the concierge desk until Dec. 24. Every dollar from bar sales will benefit the Storehouse Community Hub Society, a charity based in Cloverdale that provides essential support like food banks, community meals, outreach, and winter hampers for families in need.
Storehouse began in 2011 as the Cloverdale Community Kitchen and now delivers services across several nearby communities, helping thousands of people with food, nourishment, and support programs each month.
Gift Wrapping for Good Causes
Alongside the chocolate bar campaign, volunteers from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley are running a Charity Gift Wrap Centre at Willowbrook. Visitors can bring in their holiday gifts to be wrapped with festive flair at donation-based pricing starting from just $2.
All proceeds from the gift-wrapping service go to fund youth mentorship programs that help young people in the Langley area build confidence, receive guidance, and connect with helpful role models.
Spreading Holiday Cheer With Purpose
Nicole Lotz, Willowbrook’s marketing director, says the centre’s holiday fundraising efforts aim to “spread joy with purpose” by supporting charities that make a real impact in the community, especially during the festive season when needs often increase.
With gift wrapping and chocolate bar sales running through Dec. 24, holiday shoppers can enjoy seasonal fun while backing local causes that help neighbours in need.
