Museum of Surrey Gears Up for Family Day Fun
Looking for an exciting way to spend Family Day? The Museum of Surrey in Cloverdale has you covered! On February 16, the museum is opening its doors for a free, three-hour celebration packed with activities for every member of the family. The fun kicks off at 1 p.m. and runs until 4 p.m.—so plan to arrive ready for a full afternoon of entertainment.
“Celebrate Family Day with a full day of fun, play, and discovery at your Museum of Surrey,” the museum shares. “Bring the whole family and enjoy games, creative activities, and special experiences across our heritage campus.”
Activities for Everyone
This year’s Family Day lineup is brimming with hands-on experiences. Guests can enjoy:
- Face painting by Out of the Rain Character Events (limited spots, first-come, first-served)
- Family character portraits by Corycatures (also limited, first-come, first-served)
- Hot chocolate, crafts, bingo, oversized games, and scavenger hunts
- And plenty of surprises for curious minds
Whether you’re 5 or 50, there’s something to spark your imagination.
Explore “Our Connection to Hockey”
Visitors can also explore the “Our Connection to Hockey” exhibit in the main hall. The exhibit highlights Surrey athletes, national icons, and grassroots programs, showcasing how hockey unites communities across Canada.
Themes include:
- Women’s and para hockey
- Punjabi hockey broadcasters
- Local and national hockey legends
This interactive exhibit celebrates diversity, culture, and the power of sport to bring people together.
