North Vancouver’s Ronald P. wins $500K in Lotto Max, plans to invest most and splurge on a new putter for his golf game.
North Vancouver Man Scores Half a Million
A North Vancouver resident, known only as Ronald P. by the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC), just saw his golfing dreams take a big leap. He’s pocketed $500,000 after sharing a $1-million Lotto Max prize with a lucky ticket holder in Ontario.
“At first, I looked at the numbers and thought, ‘No, I didn’t win anything,’” Ronald shared. “Then I checked the next set and saw a winner in North Vancouver.”
From Shock to Celebration
Ronald didn’t believe it at first. He even called the BCLC customer support line to confirm the win. Once the reality sank in, excitement quickly followed.
Much of the prize will go into investments, a move Ronald says will secure his future. Still, he isn’t leaving all the fun behind. A new putter is on the shopping list, showing his commitment to sharpening his short game.
Where It All Began
The winning ticket was purchased at the Thrifty Foods on Edgemont Boulevard for the February 24 Lotto Max draw. That single ticket changed Ronald’s day — and possibly his golf game — forever.
