Surrey Police release photos of two accused men to advance a firearms investigation and urge witnesses to come forward with tips.
Police Release Images to Move Investigation Ahead
Surrey Police Service (SPS) has released photos of two men charged in a firearms-related investigation connected to January 26, 2026. The decision was made to generate new leads and strengthen the ongoing police effort.
Public Help Is Key, Police Say
According to SPS, sharing the images is expected to encourage witnesses, victims, or associates to come forward. Police believe members of the public may have information that can help clarify events leading up to the incident. As a result, investigators are asking anyone with knowledge to speak up.
Accused Men Identified
The photos show Harshdeep Singh and Hanspreet Singh, who are facing charges related to the investigation. Police are seeking details about their activities on or before January 26, 2026. Even minor observations could prove important, therefore all tips are welcome.
Legal Basis for Photo Release
SPS noted that photo releases are handled carefully and reviewed on a case-by-case basis. In this instance, the disclosure aligns with sections 33(2)(d) and 34 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. These provisions allow police to release images when doing so supports an active investigation and helps locate witnesses or victims.
Reward Fund Adds Incentive
In addition, a significant reward is available. In September 2025, the Surrey Extortion Reward Fund was established, offering up to $250,000 for information that leads to charges and convictions of those responsible. Consequently, tips could have a major impact.
How to Submit Information
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Surrey Extortion Tip Line at 236-485-5149. Tips can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by visiting www.solvecrime.ca. Above all, police stress that community cooperation remains vital.
