Crash During Police Training Exercise
A training session for RCMP officers in Surrey took a serious turn after a collision involving two police motorcycles. The incident happened shortly after 10 a.m. near the intersection of 152 Street and 100 Avenue.
According to police, both officers were participating in a traffic-related exercise when the crash occurred.
Officer Suffers Serious Injuries
Authorities confirmed that one officer sustained significant injuries and was transported to hospital, where they remain under care. A second officer involved in the crash was also taken to hospital but was later released and returned to the training course.

Multiple emergency crews responded quickly, with paramedics arriving before 10:30 a.m. Officials say several ambulances were dispatched, and emergency medical treatment was provided on-site before transporting the injured officer to hospital.
Road Closures and Traffic Impact
The incident caused major disruptions in the Guildford area, with sections of 152 Street temporarily closed between Guildford Mall and 94 Avenue. Drivers were advised to avoid the area and expect delays while emergency responders managed the scene.
