Early-Morning Gunfire Shakes Newton Neighbourhood

Surrey Police Service (SPS) are looking into a shooting at a Newton home early Monday morning. The incident, reported on March 16, 2026, left bullet holes in the front door and window of a residence on 126A Street near 75th Avenue.

Homeowner Discovers Damage

Although the homeowner didn’t hear the gunfire, both neighbours and security cameras captured the shots just before 5 a.m. SPS confirmed that, so far, there’s no evidence linking this shooting to extortion.

Police Seek Public Assistance

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact them at 604-599-0502, referencing file number 26-24784 (SP). Residents are encouraged to come forward to help police piece together what happened.
