Surrey First mayoral candidate Linda Annis unveiled the first four members of her city council slate on Monday as part of her campaign for the October 17, 2026 civic election.

The announcement took place at Morgan Creek Golf Course, where Annis introduced a mix of community leaders and professionals representing different parts of Surrey.

Joining her Surrey First team are:

  • Janet Brown, a longtime journalist and resident of Fraser Heights.
  • Clint Stewart, president of Whalley Little League and resident of North Surrey.
  • Taj Sandhu, president of WBI Home Warranty Ltd. and resident of Newton.
  • Deb Antifaev, director of Families for Early Autism Treatment and resident of South Surrey.

Annis described the group as “deeply committed to Surrey’s future” and said the remaining four candidates on her eight-person slate will be revealed in January 2026.

Incumbent councillor Mike Bose also confirmed he plans to seek re-election under the Surrey First banner, saying, “That is my plan.”

Surrey First, which has been a long-standing fixture in the city’s political landscape, is gearing up for what is expected to be a closely watched election.
