IHIT Steps In After Surrey Shooting

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has officially taken the lead on a homicide investigation in Surrey, following a deadly shooting on Saturday evening.

Shooting Reported in Surrey’s 15100 Block of 60 Avenue

Around 6:40 pm on March 28, 2026, Surrey Police Service (SPS) responded to reports of gunfire in the 15100 block of 60 Avenue. Officers discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite emergency responders from the BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) rushing to the scene and providing life-saving measures, the victim was sadly pronounced dead at the location.

IHIT and SPS Working Together

IHIT has taken over the investigation and is coordinating closely with Surrey police to carry out priority investigative tasks. The team is focused on uncovering all relevant details and identifying anyone responsible for this tragic incident.
