Surrey Libraries Expo Returns With Fun for All Ages
Newton Recreation Centre is set to host the annual Surrey Libraries Expo on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event promises a lively day celebrating family literacy and exploring everything Surrey Public Library has to offer.
Exciting Activities for Every Generation
From toddlers to seniors, the Expo is packed with activities that spark curiosity. Kids can code with Dot & Dash and Bee-Bot robots, bowl for books, enjoy sing-along storytimes, and explore a hands-on Early Years play area. Adults and teens aren’t left out—they can try a green screen experience, create buttons, and participate in giant games and contests.
A special “Snail Mail Social” and meet-and-greet with Walter & Jazzy bring extra charm to the day. Popcorn adds a fun snack twist, while a grand prize draw offers a $100 gift card to Black Bond Books.
Celebrate Surrey Libraries’ Reach
Surrey Libraries operates 10 branches across the city—from City Centre and Clayton to Cloverdale, Fleetwood, Guildford, Newton, Ocean Park, Port Kells, Semiahmoo, and Strawberry Hill. Beyond books, the library offers digital resources, engaging programs, and a Mobile Library that brings learning directly to the community.
