Police Launch Search for Two Missing People in Surrey

Surrey Police Service is asking for the public’s help to locate two adults who were reported missing on January 5 and January 6. Officers say family members are concerned for their safety and any information could help bring them home safely.

Christine Seath Last Seen Near 166 Street

Christine Seath, 50, was last seen around 11:35 am on January 5 in the 6000 block of 166 Street in Surrey. Police describe her as white, five feet four inches tall, about 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a denim shirt, black leggings, and carrying a black jacket. Investigators believe she may also have been wearing a grey hat with a small heart icon. Surrey Police and the RCMP Surrey Operations Support Unit are actively working to locate her.

Kelly Madden Missing After Early Morning Disappearance

Kelly James Madden, 69, was last seen at about 2:00 am on January 6 in the 9300 block of 125 Street. He has not been seen or heard from since that time.

Madden is described as white, five feet six inches tall, about 160 pounds, with grey balding hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt, grey jogging pants, and slippers. Police say he does not have a phone, is believed to be on foot, and may appear confused or disoriented.

Police and Families Urge Public to Stay Alert

Investigators say both cases are being treated with urgency. Family members and police are asking residents to stay alert, check security cameras, and share information through social media to help widen the search.

Anyone with information about Christine Seath’s whereabouts is asked to contact Surrey Police Service or RCMP Surrey Operations Support Unit at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Anyone with information about Kelly Madden is asked to contact Surrey Police Service at 604-599-0502 and quote the relevant file number.

Police say if a member of the public locates Kelly Madden, they are encouraged to stay with him until officers arrive.
