Surrey Gears Up for Free World Cup 26™ Fan Zones
Surrey, B.C. – Soccer fever is coming to Surrey this summer! From June 11 to July 19, 2026, residents and visitors can enjoy free, public viewings of the FIFA World Cup 26™ at the city’s official Surrey Soccer Fan Zones.
“We’re excited to host Fan Zones where families and friends can gather safely, cheer for their favourite teams, and make unforgettable summer memories,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. “These events are free, inclusive, and designed to bring our community together through sport.”
Three Locations, Endless Excitement
Surrey will host Fan Zones at Surrey Civic Plaza, Cloverdale Agriplex, and South Surrey Athletic Park. The Cloverdale Agriplex will provide an indoor experience, while Civic Plaza and South Surrey Athletic Park will offer outdoor viewing with tented seating for comfort.
Attendees can expect:
- Live match broadcasts on giant screens
- Community-led soccer games and activities
- Food trucks and beer gardens
- Live entertainment to keep the excitement buzzing
Kickoff Celebration on June 12
The official launch happens June 12 at Surrey Civic Plaza, just in time for Canada’s men’s national soccer team to take the field. Fans will enjoy interactive activities, special performances, and the thrill of cheering together as a community.
Celebrating Community and Culture
The Fan Zones highlight Surrey’s cultural diversity and create spaces for connection through sport. By hosting events in City Centre, Cloverdale, and South Surrey, the city also supports local businesses and showcases Surrey as a vibrant destination for entertainment and tourism.
With only 100 days until the first-ever 48-team FIFA World Cup™, co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, Surrey’s Fan Zones will let local residents experience the global excitement right in their own backyard.
