Step into Surrey’s Winter Wonderland
Surrey is sparkling this holiday season, and there’s no shortage of festive events to enjoy. Noel Surrey, running until December 28 at Cloverdale Fairgrounds, transforms the area into a dazzling winter wonderland. Visitors can stroll through the Bright Nights light walk, snap photos with Santa and holiday characters, shop at the Christmas Market, and enjoy free rides. Families are encouraged to experience the magical Noel Village, where the holiday spirit shines bright.
On December 20, the Historic Stewart Farm hosts an Evening Carol Sing from 7 to 8 p.m. Join for a cozy night of carols, treats, and festive camaraderie in Stewart Hall, beautifully decorated for the season. Admission is $6.30 for those 19 and older.
Glide Into Holiday Fun
Skating enthusiasts can visit the Winter Ice Palace at Cloverdale Arena, open from December 13 to January 4. Skate through a winter wonderland surrounded by festive lights, music, and decorations. Admission is just $5, with skate rentals available for $3.50 and helmets for $1.75. Rentals may sell out quickly, so bringing your own gear is recommended.
Bear Creek Park’s Christmas Train offers both daytime and nighttime rides throughout December. Daytime rides run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., while evening rides operate Wednesday through Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. Children under two ride free, and Grinch sightings add a playful twist to the journey.
For family-friendly holiday exploration, Historic Stewart Farm is hosting “Let’s Celebrate Christmas” drop-in events on December 20-21. Families can enjoy traditional holiday treats, festive décor, and demonstrations of how the Stewarts celebrated the season. Admission is free.
