Bus Crash in Hope Sends Students, Driver to Hospital
On December 8, 2025 a school bus carrying students crashed into two parked cars on 4th Avenue in Hope. Authorities report that the bus collided with a black car and a red car while transporting students from Silver Creek Elementary School to Coquihalla Elementary School.
Immediately after the crash, three students and the bus driver were taken to Fraser Canyon Hospital for medical observation.
What Officials Say Observation and Support for Students
According to the school district, there are no reports of serious injuries. The hospital visit was precautionary, but authorities and school officials are treating the incident seriously to ensure everyone’s safety.
In a message to families, the district said it appreciates the support and patience of parents, staff, and the community as they respond to the crash.
To support students and staff, school district counsellors will be present at Silver Creek Elementary the next morning to provide care, reassurance, and a space for debriefing.
Investigation Underway Cause of Crash Unknown
Local officers from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Hope responded to the scene after the collision. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Authorities have noted that they will review circumstances including road conditions, bus status and any other relevant factors as part of their investigation.
