White Rock: Renew by Jan. 1
In White Rock, all dogs over four months old must have a valid licence. The city reminds residents that renewals—or first-time registrations—are due January 1, 2026. Licences run from January 1 to December 31, and fees may be reduced if your dog is spayed or neutered.
New to the area? Registering your dog requires providing basic details like name, breed, color, sex, and a photo. While most applications can be completed online, certain cases, such as BC Guide dogs, Service dogs, or aggressive dogs, must be processed in person.

In Surrey, dog licences are valid for the calendar year, with renewals due February 2. All dogs over three months old must wear their licence on a collar at all times.

Delta: Annual Licences Due by Year-End
