Abbotsford saw a frightening incident on Saturday, December 13, when a van mounted the sidewalk and struck two pedestrians. The collision occurred around 2:53 p.m. on McCallum Road, according to a statement from the Abbotsford Police Department.
Victims Taken to Hospital
Emergency crews arrived quickly to find two injured pedestrians. Both were transported to a nearby hospital. One sustained serious injuries, though fortunately, they are not life-threatening.
Driver Remains on Scene
Police confirmed that the 33-year-old driver stayed at the scene and fully cooperated with authorities. They also ruled out impairment as a factor in the crash, easing some concerns about potential negligence.
