Cloverdale Chamber Gears Up for Holiday Charity Luncheon

The holiday season is upon us, and the Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce is spreading cheer with its annual “Kickoff to Christmas” charity luncheon. This year, the event will take place on Dec. 3 at the Storehouse Community Hub Society, the organization that now oversees the Cloverdale Community Kitchen and its many community programs.

A Celebration That Gives Back

Everyone is welcome to attend, whether you’re a Chamber member or not. Scott Wheatley, the Chamber’s executive director, emphasized that the luncheon is more than just a meal—it’s a chance to support the vital work Storehouse does in the community.

“They feed countless people and go above and beyond during Christmas with their Hamper program and other initiatives,” Wheatley said.

Building on a Tradition of Generosity

The Chamber has a long history of supporting Storehouse. Already, the group raised over $1,000 at the Clovies awards, and Wheatley hopes the upcoming luncheon will add even more to that total. “More people are struggling than ever right now, and Storehouse is on the front lines helping them. But even they have waiting lists,” he noted.

This will mark Wheatley’s sixth consecutive year participating in the luncheon, which continues to grow both in attendance and in funds raised for those in need.

New Features This Year: Silent Auction and More

This year, the event will include a silent auction, with all proceeds going directly to Storehouse. Wheatley outlined several ways the community can get involved:

  • Become a luncheon sponsor
  • Attend the luncheon
  • Donate online to Storehouse
  • Collect non-perishable food or toys at work to donate

Tickets Already on Sale

Tickets are currently available, and Wheatley expects over 100 attendees to join the festive event. It’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal while giving back to the Cloverdale community this holiday season.
