Surrey Business Targeted in Early-Morning Shooting

Surrey’s East Cloverdale neighborhood was shaken early Monday morning when shots were fired at a local business. The incident occurred at a property on the 19300 block of Langley Bypass, leaving damage but no injuries.

According to the RCMP’s Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU), the business was closed when the attack happened. The owner reported the damage shortly after 8:00 a.m., prompting officers to respond immediately.


Investigation Points to Possible Extortion

SPOSU’s General Investigation Unit (GIU) has taken over the case. While the investigation is still in its early stages, authorities believe the shooting may be linked to extortion.

Police have not disclosed any suspects yet but emphasized the importance of community assistance in solving the case.
