SURREY – Fear and mystery hang heavy in the air after police on a routine patrol stumbled upon a chilling scene late Monday night: a local car wash riddled with bullet holes.
The business, located near 128 Street and 84 Avenue, was dark and empty when officers made the discovery after 11 p.m. The attack was so stealthy that no one had even reported it. Now, investigators are grappling with a disturbing question: was this a random act of violence, or a sinister warning shot connected to the ongoing extortion plots terrorizing Surrey’s business community?
While the motive remains officially unknown, the possibility of a link to the widespread threats has sent a fresh wave of anxiety through the city.
