Scarecrows, Colors, and Community Spirit

The much-anticipated Scarecrow Stroll has returned to Darts Hill Garden in South Surrey, inviting families to celebrate autumn’s charm together. Running every weekend through September 30, the event blends creativity, community spirit, and the beauty of nature.

Six Creations to Discover

Visitors can explore the garden’s orchard and meadow, where six uniquely crafted scarecrow displays await. Guests are encouraged to vote for their favorite creation while enjoying the seasonal scenery. Organizers describe the stroll as more than a lighthearted contest—it’s a chance to connect with nature during one of the year’s most colorful months.

Why September Is Special at Darts Hill

September transforms the 22.5-acre garden into a painter’s canvas. Golden foliage glows, late blooms add bursts of color, and fruit ripens across the orchard. Society leaders say the goal is simple: to share the garden’s beauty while encouraging families to enjoy open green spaces together.

A Garden With History and Heart

Darts Hill Garden reflects more than 75 years of dedication. Originally gifted by Edwin and Francisca Darts in 1994, the city later expanded the property, creating today’s lush 22.5-acre retreat. Guided by Francisca Darts’ vision, the garden now welcomes thousands of visitors seeking peace, inspiration, and community events like the Scarecrow Stroll.

Plan Your Visit

The garden is open Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until the end of September. Admission is by donation, while members and children under 12 receive free entry. Annual memberships start at just $25.
