Police Probe Overnight Shooting at Cloverdale Business

Cloverdale residents were shaken after shots rang out at a local business in the 5400 block of Production Boulevard. The Surrey RCMP’s Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) launched an immediate investigation after the incident was reported on March 30, 2026, at around 9:00 a.m.

Damage Confirmed, No Injuries Reported

Police and the business owner confirmed that the exterior of the building sustained damage. Thankfully, no one was inside at the time, and no injuries were reported. This marks the second shooting in the same business complex, following a similar event on March 23, 2026.

Investigation Points to Possible Extortion

The RCMP’s General Investigation Unit (GIU) has taken over the case. Investigators determined that the shots were fired at approximately 12:49 a.m. on March 30. While the investigation is ongoing, early evidence suggests the incident may be related to extortion.

Authorities Seek Public Assistance

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses can contact the Surrey Police Service non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and reference file number 26-12122 (SU). Community tips could be crucial in bringing those responsible to justice.
