Surrey Police Seek Witnesses in Serious Hit-and-Run Incident
Surrey Police Service is continuing its investigation into a serious hit-and-run collision that left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries and is now asking witnesses to come forward.
The incident occurred late at night on March 5 at the intersection of 88 Avenue and Nordel Way.
Two Pedestrians Struck in Late-Night Collision
According to investigators, a vehicle hit two pedestrians at approximately 11:24 p.m. One of the victims, an adult male, was taken to hospital in critical condition.
The driver involved in the incident did not remain at the scene, prompting an ongoing investigation by police.
Witnesses May Have Left Before Police Arrived
Authorities believe that several members of the public were present at the scene and even assisted the injured individuals immediately after the collision.
However, those witnesses reportedly left before officers arrived. Police are now urging those individuals, along with anyone else who may have seen the incident, to come forward.
Police Request Dashcam Footage and Information
Investigators are particularly interested in any video evidence, including dashcam footage, that may help identify the vehicle involved or provide further details about what happened.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Surrey Police Service and reference the case file number.
Ongoing Investigation
The investigation remains active as police work to gather more details and identify those responsible. Public assistance could play a key role in advancing the case.
